In this video, Romain Wolff, President of CESI, highlighted the fact that over the last few years many trade union members representing public servants complained about precarious work conditions. These concerns overlap with evidence-based labour market trends showcasing an increase in the number of workers with fixed-term and part-time contracts in the past 15 years. Mr Wolff asks: ‘How many jobs do we need in order to ensure a qualitative live? One should be enough’ he says. From a policy point of view, austerity policies and curtailments of labour rights should not be allowed to impact labour security or stability.
